½ cup Walnuts, chopped (approx 15 walnuts)
5-6 Curry Leaves
¼ tsp Ginger Finely chopped
2  Green Chilies, chopped
⅛ tsp Mustard Seeds
¼ tsp Cumin Seeds
1 Garlic Clove, chopped
Pinch of Turmeric
¼ cup Yogurt
Lime Juice to taste
Salt adjust to taste

Tadka Ingredients:

1 tsp. Oil
⅛ tsp. Mustard seeds
⅛ tsp. Cumin Seeds
½ Dry Red Chili
Pinch of turmeric


Chop walnuts. Chop garlic,Ginger, chilies and keep aside.Grind mustard and cumin seeds to powder add walnuts,garlic,Ginger, chilies,salt.Grind the mixture to a paste with some water.Transfer to a serving bowl, add yogurt(If you don't want skip it), salt and lime juice. Mix well and adjust the seasoning.Heat oil in a pan, Mustard seeds,Cumin seeds and add curry leaves, Red chilies and garlic.finally Add pinch of turmeric,When the red chili turns brown and the seeds splutter, remove from fire.Turn off the heat.Pour over the chutney and serve.You can serve it with rice, idly, dosa and vada,Ponganalu,Ragi dosa,Ragi idli,Korra attu, it can be diluted by Either add some water or some light yogurt or whey from yogurt.If you Want Roast the walnuts in the hot pan until lightly toasted.You can also add peanuts and coconut for more taste.
